Ohio Basic Code 2011 Edition

The Ohio Basic Code is a complete model code of ordinances designed specifically for smaller cities and towns in Ohio. By utilizing the concept of shared cost to provide an economic alternative for codification, it allows smaller municipalities in Ohio to enjoy the benefits of codification without the substantial expense of a customized code.

Sample Provisions

The Ohio Basic Code contains provisions on subjects typically encountered by smaller cities and towns and may include:

Administration
Animal Regulations
Business Regulations
Fire Prevention
General Offenses
Nuisances
Peddler and Solicitor Regulations
Streets and sidewalks
Taxation
Traffic regulations

Based on State Law

Most sections are based directly on Ohio law or on model ordinances drafted by American Legal Publishing. In addition, the Ohio Basic Code is softbound and is reprinted in full annually to incorporate state law enactments, deletions, and amendments, keeping your municipality current with changes in state law.
